He served as Dean between 2012 and 2023, and brings strong leadership experience that bridges the business sector and academia. Prior to joining the university, he served as president and director for numerous successful property development companies, and on many boards and committees in the Calgary area.

Marcia also spent 10 years in deputy ministerial roles with the Government of Alberta and specializes in strategy and execution, managing change and complexity, and spurring innovation.
